DISABILITY ADVOCATE & ACTIVIST

‘The world needs to be a better place,
where everyone feels at home’.

Mission statement

Nix enterprises (inclusive branch), aims to make the world a more inclusive and better place both IN and OUT of the workplace and business sector. Nix she/they boasts seventeen years working and consulting in Education. Part of their intersectional identity is ‘Disabled’ along with ‘24% of the total population’ cited from Commons Library Parliament website.

She was fortunate enough to spend a few years working alongside Richard Rieser (who wrote the Equalities Act of 2010) as co-Equalities Officer for the NUT in Hackney and organised events at The Round Chapel with guests such as Jeremy Corbyn.

They are engaged and active in various charitable organisations namely Essex Healthwatch Trauma Watch as an Ambassador and were on the panel for safer practise with The PDA Society. Nix was moved to start up this organisation, after seeing many others (including herself) suffering discrimination at the hands of companies that were acting both unlawfully and unethically.

Nix enterprises essentially aims to educate and improve the lives of others by making businesses more accessible and disability friendly. This in turn gives clients more pride, peace of mind and all-round positive reviews.

The Equalities Act 2010 is a legal document and businesses are required to adhere to the statutory law.
