Originally written by Hen the Pen more than 20 years ago, Dead Giveaway became the club’s first Script-to-Screen Challenge — taking an existing screenplay and turning it into a finished film through our regular Tuesday evening meetings. Directed by first-time director Nix Nugent, the film was cast, rehearsed and filmed across five Tuesday evenings, involving 17 actors and supporting performers, alongside club members working across camera, sound, production and post-production. Expect a rather unusual television gameshow, questionable medical expertise, The Singing Porters, some highly dubious pharmaceuticals… and a few clues along the way.
